I love this guy. If you have the chance check out his book next time you’re at Borders. He’s got two full pages to different expressions, 150 in all. Great stuff.
Since my regular site is down I’m uploading some work from college on this page.
I recently started drawing again after a long hiatus. This was in part do to the time I was spending writing (only so much time for creative endeavors). The other reason for taking a break I’m not going to discuss because people who know me will kick my butt. End discussion.
So I thought a good way to get back into drawing would be to do some imitations of other artists. Today I’m looking to Frezzato, the brilliant author of The Keeper Of The Mazer series.
The assignment is to do a Rube Goldberg-type device in 3d. Sounds pretty exciting doesn’t it? No? Well, then I’m going to have to revoke your nerd card. Sorry.
Still with me? Cool. I was thinking that since the project isn’t in the real world I can stretch some things. I mean thats whats so freakin cool about Maya. Let your imagination go wild. So I thought adding some paper airplanes, toy paratroopers, and maybe some balloons would be cool. I was also thinking of doing some cool marble POV’s since you can get right in there with the camera.
